San Vincenzo
San Vincenzo is situated on the Etruscan Coast south of Leghorn. Here, with the towns of Cecina, Castagneto Carducci, San Vincenzo and Piombino, the Maremma begins -- land of wine, olive trees and horses. San Vincenzo lies at the heart of a number of interesting cultural sites, especially of natural and archaeological significance.
Climate and beaches
The climate is typically Mediterranean, mild and pleasant for the most part of the year .
The sea breezes moderate both the summer heat and the winter cold. Several small firms offering bathing facilities can be found in the centre of town. Broad and wild, thick with pinewoods, the shore then stretches towards Donoratico in the north, and in the south, across the Parco Naturale di Rimigliano, towards the Golfo di Baratti.
